Hello everyone,
My name is Sarou, and I am the founder and director of Roots Cambodia. I am thrilled to be a part of this beautiful group. I would like to share with you a cause that is very important to me.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, families, and the community. Our team has already constructed a water filtration system for a school, and we plan to extend this system to nearby villages. By providing clean water and creating job opportunities, we hope to make a positive impact. We are also working towards promoting environmental conservation and proper waste management, which will benefit the community and the planet. We aim to inspire children to be proud of their heritage and create a brighter future for themselves and their community.
We can make a difference by starting a group tipping initiative where we donate a portion of our tips to this cause. This would be an excellent way to unite and positively impact our community.
Here is the cost breakdown of our project activities:
– Number of students in two villages: 150
– Learning hours from Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day, 5:30-6:30 PM & 6:30-7:30 PM
– 7 classrooms
– Schedule from Monday to Friday
– Two locations: Roluos Khang Lech village, Sarou’s village learning and Kanhchor Village, Nimol’s village learning
Roots Expenses for 2024:
– Monthly salary for three teachers
– Copies of reading books for students and teachers, documents
– One male student for an English university in Siem Reap sponsored by Sarou
– One female student for a university in Phnom Penh supported by Sarou
– Five volunteering students to help our schools
– Monthly electricity expenses, WIFI internet expenses
– School events (Khmer New Year celebration, Phchum Ben Festival celebration, Water and Noon Festival celebration, Student Open Day and New Year Before Christmas)
– Building a toilet for students and teachers, Building a simple reading room in Sarou village
– Other expenses
We seek generous donations to support our cause and strengthen our relationship with the student community.
Our goal is to raise $12,140 US dollars for the year 2024. Your contribution will help us expand our reach in the community.
